Dear Holly, Leo and staff,
Henry is happy in his new home and his new home is happy with him. He loves the grass, the rain, the chew toys, my other dogs: Hudson, Affenpinscher age 7 (Parrots and Pups class of 2001); and Tyler, age 13 Schnauzer Poodle mix.) Hudson and Tyler are getting more laid back about Henry's arrival everyday. And we are all having fun. Except for the housebreaking! I forgot how much work that is.

I've walked in with my sister for the past 6 months & we'd talk with the customers that were getting their puppies or customers that came back with friends to check out this place. And they all spoke highly of this place. Every time we were there, the staff was respectful. That's why I finally got my puggle this week. They give me their cell and private home phone numbers to call anytime, & they followed up with a call to see how I was getting along with my sweet chanel puppy, now this truly impressed me. Their puppies are treated well and are given all the proper care. Like I said, the past 6 months the staff was very respectful to us seniors. I was taken by their kindness allowing us to nag them with questions. And most of all they don't take your money and say "good bye & good luck", they care about their puppies & customers, that's why they follow up with phone calls to you… Walk in and see for yourself, how wonderful the staff is and how all the customers are treated whether they buy or just want to play with the puppies. I'll end this review with a personal thank you to Parrots and Pups for running a good business.

I bought an Italian Greyhound from them and I couldn't be happier. The sales person, Josh, answered all of my questions about the breed accurately. I took the dog to the vet they recommended in

My friend bought her yorkie from Parrots & Pups & had a wonderful experience. Soon after, I found myself taking the trip with her to the store to buy a yorkie of my own, a sweet little boy. Right away, I was assured that if I needed any help or advice, I could call one of the owners or managers 24 hours a day on their cell phones which were given to me... Go in there, talk to the staff, express your concerns to them, and once you see what a wonderful store it is, you may end up with a puppy ( or even 2 like I did !!!) and you will be happy and reassured that they will take good care of the both of you. Since I have bought my 2 little yorkies, I have referred P&P to many of my friends. They price their puppies fairly, not like on the UES where the yorkies are 4,000. The bottom line is, my experience was great and I greatly recommend P&P!!!

After trying to adopt for over 2 years I got fed up and looked into breeders. After not having much luck - with deals falling through, finding out they were mills, or receiving general harassment I caved and just went to the store. I looked up where the dogs came from. They actually were from real breeders with sites describing their show dogs. The paperwork did take some time to come in but when it did I had no trouble registering them with the AKC. They were both healthy, from 2 different litters and perfect examples of the breed standard. Its been over a year now and the largest vet bill I had was when I had them spayed. There are no signs of any genetic diseases - which can be a major issue with yorkies. The staff seemed to be pretty well educated when I was there.

When my mom decided it was time for our family to get a dog, someone recommended Parrots and pups as the place to go for a long haired chihuahua. They were beyond right! My family got our dog Figaro in 2003 and he has become a part of our family, he is literally my parents 4th child. we love the friendly service we got from Holly the owner, who is a genuine person and taught us thoroughly how to care for Figaro. A few years later I decided to get a Yorkie and I still got the same fantastic service from the whole crew...I would leave the dog there whenever I went away and she was so well taken care of. Parrots and Pups also has a great selection of treats and toys- most importantly I found both dogs to be clean, well natured, friendly, and healthy! I highly recommend this shop to anyone who is looking to purchase a puppy.

This store is great…I know both owners and bought my parrot when they first opened.. . 10 years later Holly still remembers his name and my other bird as well--board them there--and they are always treated with love. And both owners are very caring, know their business...Holly practically lives there and will go out of her way to help you whether you spend $5 on a toy or over a grand on a parrot or a pup.

I bought a chihuahua from them about 2 years ago. I had asked around and it seemed that everyone who had an adorable dog with a great disposition had gotten the dog from Parrots and Pups. My experience was the same-I got an amazing dog. Where they really stand out is in the follow up care though. With a new puppy there are always a few mishaps-usually when they eat things not meant to be eaten. Each time I have called them I was told to come in (once at 8am on a sunday morning!) and that they would look at my dog and take appropriate steps. This has happened a total of 3 times, and each time they have kept her for a few hours and returned her to me on the road to recovery. All without charging me! And they are so affectionate with the dogs, sometimes I will come in to pick up my dog (yes, they have watched her for the day at a very reasonable rate) to find one of the employees kissing and cuddling the puppies. I have had dogs all my life, both bought and rescued. If you are going to buy, there is no better place than Parrots and Pups.

I got an AKC registered Yorkshire Terrier puppy from this place over 7 months ago and their follow-up care has been nothing short of wonderful. I called them several times over the first few weeks when I was unsure if she was eating enough etc., and I've brought her in a couple of times over the months when she caught a cold and recently when she had a bad reaction to a shot. Each time they took care of her for a couple of hours and gave me great home remedy advice that worked great - each time without charging me a cent. After I got my puppy, many people poo-pooed me for having gotten her from a "pet store”… The owners, who have been there for me each time, seem to genuinely love animals and I do not get the sense that they are just in it for the buck. I have a very happy, healthy, beautiful puppy that I got from them and I couldn't be happier. They have excellent follow-up care, especially for a semi-neurotic first-time puppy owner.
