Our Philosophy:

Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, Parrots & Pups offers you “UPTOWN QUALITY…DOWNTOWN PRICES”!   A   clean, well-lit, cheerful space, the store doubled its size in Fall 2005.  

Puppies are selected from our network of dedicated small breeders and kept in our new arrivals area for a rigorous health protocol for at least seven days to ensure a healthy & happy pet.  This includes thorough screening by our veterinarians, up-to-date vaccinations, gentle bathing, grooming and continuous socializing. 

We pride ourselves on our friendly and knowledgeable staff and make sure when you go home with your puppy we have covered all the questions and concerns you might have about caring for your new family member. Your information packet includes a “DO NOT PANIC” sheet explaining the most common puppy stress factors and how to avoid them; we even give you the cell and home phone numbers of the store owners whom you can call any time if the store is closed!    

Our baby parrots come to us from only three spotless breeding facilities and are hand-fed by our staff and socialized until weaned onto fresh vegetable mix & a high quality pelleted diet. Our parrot expert will make sure you are educated about proper bird care and have the best supplies before you take home a weaned baby.  Again, we encourage you to call with any questions, anytime.  The welfare of your pet is our primary concern!

We carry only the best natural foods & supplements for dogs, cats & parrots and offer nutritional advice as well.   Our unique product selection is chosen for quality and value.  Looking for something we don’t have?...Our buyer will find it for you.
